Gomeo Bobelu

Gomeo was and is our guiding light and visionary. He served as a producer on our company projects, but also pursued projects on his own or with other groups of collaborators. Although he initially planned to serve as a subject for this film (he signed releases and reproduction rights paperwork in 2015), he later took over various production aspects so that in the end, despite his demise, the final film is in many ways his work product that reflects his world view, guiding principles, and spirituality.

With Gomeo’s unexpected demise, we decided to push forward and complete the film as he envisioned. After its release and tour of the film festival circuit, we plan to host screenings that will benefit the #MMIP #MMIR and #MMIW groups fighting to resolve our national crisis. To schedule a benefit screening, please contact us at VeiledLightning@gmail.com.

Other Key Creatives:

Lonnie R. Begaye

We were honored to work with cinematographer and drone wizard Lonnie R. Begaye. His additions to the film are of immeasurable value. He’s shown here in Zuni demonstrating a drone to Executive Producer Linda Weil.

Jaima Chevalier

Jaima Chevalier worked closely with Gomeo on various projects, including 2017’s Veiled Lightning.

AJ Goldman

AJ Goldman, award winning Diné photographer and film maker, worked with Gomeo on multiple projects, and some of the current film’s most profound moments were captured by AJ during his visits with Gomeo in 2018- 2020.
